The Doctrine of Original Faith

Original Faith refers to the trust and belief we had in each other before religion redirected our faith towards otherworldly entities.

This shift occurred during the democratization of the afterlife (~500 BCE), when regular people were allowed in, but with judgement and rules used to split people into afterlife groupings.

This redirection of faith has negatively impacted both humanity and the Earth.

It shifted our sense of community, replaced organic social structures, and provided existing power structures with a competing yet complementary tool for population control.

This focus on an eternal afterlife diminishes the importance of the present.

People can remain content while the environment is destroyed because they believe in a promised heaven.

They forsake the futures of their children and grandchildren, but heaven awaits.

Yet everyone will fight tooth and nail, and exhaust all resources, to keep breathing as long as possible.

We all want to have faith in that last breath. But in whom?
